I love Bitcoin.
Not just because it’s sound money, not because it might go to the moon, but because it was one of the last truly uncorrupted, pure, freedom-first systems on Earth.
But now?
We’re watching the very protocol that was meant to free us from fiat madness become a dumping ground for vanity projects,- pixelated junk, meme inscriptions, JPEGs that could just as easily live on any cheap server or centralized chain.
It’s called “Ordinals.” You know what I’m talking about.
And yeah ... I’m pissed. Because I remember why we came here in the first place. Bitcoin wasn’t supposed to be a playground for bored artists or tech bros showing off. It was supposed to be a lifeline. A monetary revolution. Unstoppable. Uncensorable. Focused.
Instead, we’re celebrating people who upload frog pictures onto the timechain and call it innovation. And worse? They're outbidding actual financial transactions, clogging blocks, and pushing up fees.
And yet... I get it.
I really do.
Because the other side says:
“Bitcoin is for everyone. If you pay the fee, you can do what you want.”
“This is freedom in action.”
“Ordinals bring attention, users, and demand.”
There’s something powerful about that argument. And scary. Because it means maybe Bitcoin has evolved and I’m just an old purist who needs to let go.
But deep down, I can’t shake the feeling that we’re heading for trouble. That this is how protocols rot ,not through sudden collapse, but by subtle drift. Feature creep. Cultural compromise. And suddenly we’re Ethereum with better branding.
So I’m asking you ... not as a content creator, not as a maxi, not as a troll, but as a fellow Bitcoiner:
Are Ordinals pushing Bitcoin forward or pulling it off track?
Have we opened the door to creativity and innovation, or are we slowly selling out the soul of what made Bitcoin special?
Are you excited by the noise and color, or mourning the quiet clarity we used to have?
