Howdy! I totally get where you’re coming from I’m the same way when it comes to vacations. It’s not just about the destination, but who you’re with and what you're doing. I’ve never really enjoyed the whole resort-style, lounge-all-day kind of trip either. Sounds nice in theory, but I get too restless.

I’d say I’m a bit of a “semi-planner.” I like having a couple of must-do or must-see things, but I always leave space for spontaneous exploring. Honestly, the best travel memories I have usually come from unplanned moments—stumbling upon a local festival, chatting with a stranger, or getting lost in a cool neighborhood.

I also tend to bring my laptop with me. Sometimes I’ll find a cozy café or pub and do a little side project work—it helps me feel more grounded in a new place.

And your barber idea? That’s such a cool way to connect with locals. I might have to steal that one!

When I travel, it’s usually for the vibe of a place culture, food, local energy. I’ve definitely clashed with travel buddies before, especially if they want a packed itinerary and I’m just trying to take things slow. It's always good to talk expectations ahead of time.
