I’ve been living off Bitcoin for a while buying coffee, food, gift cards, the usual. But one big question kept bugging me: Can I pay rent with Bitcoin?
I looked at a few options. Paying from my bank? Boring. Buying and selling BTC just to pay rent? Defeats the point. So I tried Strike’s Bill Pay—you link your landlord’s bank info, verify with micro-deposits, and in theory, you can pay rent with BTC.
I even called my landlord to ask if they’d accept Bitcoin directly. They were nice, but it’s a no for now. Still, glad I asked.
So I’m testing Bill Pay. Haven’t fully paid rent in Bitcoin yet, but I’m figuring it out and sharing the journey.
