With so much offseason movement, I've been having trouble keeping track of who's getting better and who's getting worse. Here's my off the cuff power rankings. Looking forward to hearing why I'm wrong.
- Thunder
- Nuggets
- Rockets
- Timberwolves
- Cavs
- Warriors
- Knicks
- Hawks
- Magic
- Pisotns
- Lakers
- Clippers
- Mavs
- Bucks
- Spurs
- Pelicans
- Kings
- Heat
- Pacers
- Celtics
- Hornets
- Raptors
- Bulls
- Grizzlies
- Blazers
- 76ers
- Suns
- Wizards
- Jazz
- Nets
22nd? You must be taking crazy pills. Raptors are a top 15 team.
Barely top 15 in the East
10k sats say Raps finish with a top 15 record.
I'll take that action. 10k that the Raptors are a bottom 15 team this season.
Haha free sats for me.
I'll gracefully extend an opportunity to reconsider this bet once I take all your 49ers sats.
I do think the West is stronger so it will be close but I think the Raps are a 7-8 seed in east.
Close enough to be worth the bet. 22 is crazy.
That's what gave me a little pause, but it's more fun to have the bet running.
Knicks 7? Really? This list is pitiful
I can't tell if you're upset because they're too high or too low.
Too low
I could see putting them ahead of the Cavs, but I think the best four teams are in the West.
Knicks > Warriors
I agree. Warriors too high.
I'll wait until they secure whichever 40 year old they're going to land, but then I'll happily consider a wager that they win their series with the Knicks this year.
I'm half baking in that Horford is going there, or maybe Lebron.
Lebron to warriors would be intriguing
May as well bring Klay back and call this season The Last Chance.
Draymond, Lebron, and Jimmy would have to be the smartest frontcourt trio ever.
I probably have the Spurs higher. I think this is their breakout year. Warriors seem too high. I have the Knicks ahead of the Cavs, but not much ahead, maybe just ahead. I also have the TWolves lower. Ant does not have the help he needs in that team, and Ant himself have not proven himself when it mattered the most. Otherwise, list looks pretty good. I might have a few minor adjustments here or there, but teams seem to be where I would put them as well.
I think I had them higher initially, but I need to see them put it together.
Spurs? True. Lots of talent on that team and look very good on paper, but nothing proven. I just have a big soft spot on that team because of Wemby.
I do have them basically as low as I can see them being.
We will see. They just seem to be an exciting team to watch. Wemby, Fox, Castle, and now with Harper. Carter Bryant seems to be a great pickup as well, as he's supposed to be a great defender. They still have their young core of Sochan, Vassell, Johnson. I don't know how they keep getting these high draft picks, but they seem to be building something good.
If they make a move and land Markkanen, or something, then they'd catapult up my rankings.
Can someone good trade for Lauri already?
What happened to the Celtics?
Their best player is out for the season and they're salary dumping their good veteran role players.
Jaylen Brown is out for the season?
lol
Interesting rankings! I’m really curious why the Celtics and Suns are so low. With all the offseason chaos, every team feels like a wild card right now. Looking forward to seeing how your rankings evolve once preseason starts!
Bold list! Respect for putting the Thunder at #1, but Celtics and Suns in the 20s? That’s wild! Would love to see some reasoning behind the biggest movers like the Rockets and Spurs. The offseason shake-ups really make these rankings fun to debate!" 🏀
