It doesn't change my view about who's driving American military priorities.
Many of those countries are large recipients of foreign aid and it makes sense that they need to keep that gravy train rolling. I didn't know the magnitude was so great though.
Interestingly enough US aid to Israel is $3.3 bil... however the largest purchases.... Saudi in first place at spending $3.35 bil while Kuwait is number two at $1.36 bil and the UAE is number 5 at $799 mil
Also the American Defense Industry also called the military complex employees multiple millions of Americans with well paying high income jobs esp. in manufacturing

I am beginning to think that most of the foreign aid is nothing more than a circular laundry machine for the crooks here in congress, their associates and the mic. Some of it, just some of it, may rub off in the hands of the foreign crooks.
