i would have loved to take a BFA, but did a regular old BA instead. i think the major was british-commonwealth lit. i had a professor allow me to submit a creative piece in lieu of a final essay. probably the highlight of the four years. i don't think he knew how to give me feedback so he never actually did! yes, I agree, the academy be damned; at the same time though, i don't regret my education.
