Just to further demonstrate the growing pains for artists, I was visiting the patreon page of an artist who has added immense value to my pursuit of art, specifically painting, with his videos showing his process. His subscription offerings on his patreon, which is his only funnel off of youtube to get regular monetary support, start at $2 a month, then 5, 10, and 20. And I had to think about that for a second. He really must prioritize making the path available for a person to fund him $2 a month. Like $2 a month is to be treated as a worthy wage. And how much of that $2 does he take home? Idk made me sad here's his youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/@chamberlainpaintings
