Absolutely correct. BRICS is just the dumbest kids in the room playing at being grown ups.
The real true comedy is they are about to completely destroyed by the coming hyper-dollarization wave that stablecoins will bring.
No one needs a Brazillian Real, or a Rand, etc...all those currencies must go away. In the end it will be better for their citizens to just use USDT or USDC on their phones....

This has always been my reservation with BRICS. Look at how poorly the EU manages it's joint venture. Those countries have so much more common ground to work from and established institutions to build off.
The BRICS nations will never be able to sustain a high degree of cooperation.

Wouldn't go quite that far- does anyone really know how much trade is now being enabled via Chinas CIPS and mBridge digital payments?
We do know that Iran, Russia and N.Korea have been making most of their trade payments via Chinas alternative arrangements...
And we do know that Saudis have signed up to mBridge...

As someone in a BRICS country I can't get rid of my local currency for Bitcoin fast enough lol as Bitcoin holders in these countries grow they have more influence to buy him the resources these countries have to offer, well once proessing of those resources provide a higher return than bitcoin CAGR
It's a long game, let them keep failing

Yes if the BRICS gang were not mostly corrupt insecure power hungry autocrats but instead genuinely wanted freedom/neutrality from US imperialist USD/SWIFT hegemony they might just 'get' Bitcoin as a potentially very effective way to go, but as they say - you get BTC at the price you deserve!
