After the nasty blow up yesterday where several Members who voted against made idiots of themselves by showing either they or their staff had not fully understood the legislation at hand the CBDC issue has been "fixed". As it now stands the schedule is as follows:
Rule Vote for GENIUS Act, CLARITY Act, Anti-CBDC Act, and NDAA at roughly 12:20 pm followed by voting on the actual legislation at 5 pm.

That's too bad. Shitcoin scammers rejoice as they can still buy off politicians.

With these three bills the one that when passed will go to Trump just establishes the stablecoin guardrails. The CLARITY Act in my opinion does do a pretty good job at addresses issues. At the moment given how the SEC and the CFTC are kind of in a gridlock finally addressing who gets what should unlock actual investigation and prosecution into scammers.
Plus it treats BTC the way it should be treated and ends the BS that has gone on for years.
Sure I would like some more changes but CLARITY will likely get a few of these in the Senate before it is sent back to the House again.

As I said. I am not against it but when terrible humans like Larsen, Garlinghouse, Lubin and Allaire stand to benefit it is an unfortunate outcome and it just encourages them to continue to buy off politicians for their benefit.
