I make it sound dark but really its nothing new. Few people are early adopters. If you have been a bitcoiner for more than a couple years you are not the average person. Most people are not that curious about such things and its always been the case. My understanding about bitcoin's utility is that its existence will benefit everyone in society even if they don't adopt it early. We are still early now but even so those that eventually will be paid in bitcoin will benefit from the downstream effects.
