Are you talking about career government employees who are overpaid with generous benefits and pensions at the expense of taxpayers who keep supporting them blindly and stupidly?
My anger is now cold indifference
That's certainly infuriating, but not really what I meant. I mean people that are legitimately evil (if you believe in objective morality). The likes of Epstein and his clients, or outright fraudsters, liars, and cheats, who get away with their crimes.
I'd put Fauci in that list.
reply
The majority of government employees are 'fraudsters liars and cheats' imo
I bet it's worse at the state and local level.
Fauci was the highest paid federal government bureaucrat
reply
Most of the low level employees are not people that arouse any ire from me, unless they're lazy at their jobs (which many of them are.)
reply
I generally prefer they be lazy at their jobs.
reply
Lazy or not, they should not be unionized
reply
For sure
Depends on the job. I'm not happy when my teaching colleagues are lazy with their teaching and I wouldn't want a police officer or firefighter to be lazy
reply
Firefighters are generally very lazy. Fortunately, they don't have to perform very often.
Since most of what cops do is harassing people for no good reason, I'll take lazy cops on balance. Also, as with firefighters, I think they tend to be quite lazy too.
but are you colleagues paid by the taxpayer?
I guess any school that receives federal funding has 'some' of their compensation subsidized by taxpayers...
maybe they are not evil but they are insufferable with their 'oath to the Constitution'
Do government employees have to take an oath to protect the Constitution?
Even so, give me a break because half these departments are not constitutional
Department of Education? Depart of HHS?
