I had an idea that we would take a train trip around Slovakia. So I started to study the train timetable. Later, however, I found out that some railway lines were being repaired and trains were being replaced by buses on those sections. So the decision was made that we would only do half of it.
We live near the town of Lucenec in which we started. We took direct train to city Kosice where we make break.
Few photos from that train.
it is not easy to see but there is a castle Krasna horka

In Kosice we spend cca 1.5hours, my post about that. Then we took direct train to city Zilina.
Few photos from that train.

We took a break again and spent almost 2 hours in Žilina, my post about that. We had to change trains twice on the way back to Lucenec. The first time in Vrútky and the second time in Zvolen. On the section between Turcianske teplice and Banska bystrica there are a lot of tunnels, the track is winding and it's an amazing experience.
