The problem is that superintelligence will do somerhing completely unexpexted and something you can't forsee. A somewhat distant analogy would be what a wolf would think of humans killing him. He may think "if they come, i have teeth, they don't. Also i can run fast and get away. And also they don't know where i am. How can they possibly do me any harm?" And then the hans come and clear the forest for farmland, leavimg the wolf without habitat and killing him, without even trying to kill him. And without the wolf havong chance to understand what's happening.
