I don't have this level of income, but the concept may be true and relevant more generally than the OP suggests: why not try offering bounties for cool things?
SN makes it really easy and you might be surprised by how much fun it can be (also, you don't have to do 1mm sat bounties, either, although it would be kinda cool to see more of those...)
To do a bounty just click more types on the post screen and select bounty.
Maybe I'm an idiot, but I think bounties on Stacker.News should be made far more discoverable.
I did bounties a couple times. I knew I could make them, because of course I'd seen them.
But each time, I had to search for a long time, on how to set them up. I kept on looking at the options section, after you've created the post. It absolutely seemed to me that it HAD to be there, because the options that were there, seemed very "bounty-like".
I just checked the FAQ, and also couldn't find anything on how to set up a bounty.
How could the FAQ be made better? There's honestly a lot of simple things that are really difficult to figure out how to do, on Stacker News. Maybe make the FAQ editable? Right now (is this correct?) it looks like it's from 2021?

I sometimes click Discussion instead of the more types drop down and end up creating an entire post for a bounty...with no bounty attached. (I think I did this last Word of Mouth Wednesday)...so I do agree that it can be a little hard to find. Sure do love bounties, though.

Me too, I think bounties - with REAL MONEY - are an outstanding idea. The real money part is big - it's not just the "reputation" that you get in StackOverflow.
And lots more people would use them if there were more familiarity with them.

I confess that since I've been here at S.N., I've only posted with rewards twice. Maybe that makes me stingy, or maybe I haven't dedicated the time to finding a good idea that inspires others to fight or seek to win a specific reward that I set!

No kidding! I hadn't posted any bounties till just a few months ago, despite posting on SN for a long time. But the experience has generally been very rewarding.

Yes, I agree with you! Thanks for your response!

Bounties are great and they tend to get a lot of traction. A 1k bounty probably ends up earning you 1k anyways.

I was just thinking about this today. A friend of mine is making a bitcoin educational website. He sometimes needs feeback and I think getting the SN community onto it for something like 1k sat bounties would go a long way for little cost.

My puny little S19 is making that much per month. 300k isn't very much.

Oops, just realized OP's post was talking about dollars.
I often forget that people still use dollars when referring to value. Stupid thing to do, but I guess it's the culture we live in.
300k Sats isn't very much. It's a hefty sum, but nothing to write home about.

Depends on P2P trading capabilities

But that shouldn't stop us from doing smaller bounties...

Good point Even small bounties can spark cool ideas plus it makes SN more fun and interactive.
