pull down to refresh

A few months ago, we began seriously considering homeschooling as a path for our family. It was something new for us, and although we had many questions, we decided to move forward with faith and determination.
Our desire has always been to offer our children a Christian-based education, centered on values, with quality family time, and a formation that respects their pace. We wanted to be more involved in their learning and instill in them principles that are often lost in traditional education.
Like every beginning, we faced some challenges: many doubts, scattered information, and, above all, a disconnect between what the courses teach and the real life of a family like ours. We felt the need for more close support, to see how others actually lived this in practice. In addition, there were things we needed to buy and organize, and we wanted to do everything wisely and within our financial means.
These past few days, we received the materials that came with the course we had purchased,
And we also finally purchased the printer: an Epson EcoTank L3250. We chose this one because it fit our budget, had over 44,000 purchases, and a 4.8-star rating on Amazon. Along with it, we purchased two 500-sheet packs to start printing activities and materials.
We also purchased a book on Christian-based homeschooling, which has greatly encouraged us in this process.
We continue researching, jotting down ideas, and most valuable of all, we've already contacted some families from our church who also homeschool. We've agreed to meet soon to talk in person, something that will undoubtedly bring great enrichment and perspective.
Despite just starting out, we've already seen encouraging results. My wife has been doing activities with our son about patterns, memorization, and reading. And we're already starting to notice small fruits: when he plays alone, he repeats what he learned, imitates the activities, and even looks for books to "read" to his little brother or sit on the couch as if immersed in a great story. Seeing this in such a short time fills us with hope. We know it won't be easy, but these first steps confirm that it's worth it. The path is challenging, yes, but also profoundly beautiful.
