Yeah, the response to COVID was silly, in general. I think Trump was in a bad position then, though, as if he hadn't done shutdowns the Dems would have howled about how he didn't care about people dying and would have then gotten into office and administered something even more stupid.

To be fair the trump admin was in charge at the very start of Covid and kicked off some of the things like stimulus, shutdowns, and vaccines.
