Cypherpunks used to dream of true disruption to the whole world order, now they're mostly integrating with it. What happened?
I like Shinobi but this is fucking stupid and gross. Lamenting the scarcity of "innovations" like assassination markets and then pearl-clutching that "of course that is terrible" is next level.
Stay tuned for my article about missing the heady days of innovations like suicide bombing and sarin subway attacks. That was the real punk rock.

What makes us think that it's the cypherpunks that do the integration with the existing world order?
Its imho the normies that do that, not the cypherpunks. It's maybe true that former cypherpunks do these integrations, but there's been at least some fresh blood coming in that is still radically focusing on noncompliance.
The people changed but the movement still exists.
