During a recent trip to Oahu my favorite experience was renting a scooter for several days and driving up and down the eastern coast from Honolulu all the way up to the North Shore and back. Absolutely gorgeous scenery, local roads and very manageable traffic. Great way to experience the island.
Any other good vacation spots where you can get in a similar great Moped experience? Maui was fun but the traversable roads were quite limited to the Kihei area as you couldn't take the scooters onto the main highways to get to the other cities. I know they are popular in southeast asian countries but I'd be a little intimidated with how crazy the traffic is out there.
Tempted to get a motorcycle but being in medicine I've seen so many paraplegics and quadriplegics (not to mention those who didn't survive)... I want to stick to joyriding once or twice a year without the temptation to become a speed demon.
Most of Italy in Europe, I would say, small villages with tight roads made for scooters. Small islands like Capri 👌

Looks gorgeous... I'm probably revealing my prejudice / ignorance but I'm a little worried about sanitation and the food... a little far and outside of my comfort zone.
Worried about getting stuck in a less than desirable hospital with malaria or some terrible food borne illness. Also reluctant about Africa ...

There's no malaria in India anymore, the sanitation is at the best at tourist places, you can get quality food almost everywhere, just need to stay away from street food in overcrowded Cities.
In case you can come with ample time because India is a big country, you can ride along with me.
I'll take it as my personal accountability that you'll only change your thoughts about India. In the last 10-15 years India has transformed incredibly.
