I wasn't sure what to post here or how to contribute to the community, but when I got home, I realized I had something to share.
I started working in 2023, and now, after almost 3 years, I finally began building my own PC. Of course, I’ve had other achievements along the way, but this one took time and planning — and it’s still not finished.
I decided to save a bit of money each month, and once I figured out the system I really wanted, I started buying the parts.
PC Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 9700X CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Halo White RAM: 32GB DDR5 XPG Lancer Motherboard: MSI B650M Gaming Plus Wi-Fi PC Case: Aigo Arc1 Mini Power Supply: MSI MAG A850GL SSD: 1TB Kingston NV3
I also bought a separate kit with 3 Cooler Master fans, but I'm still not sure how to install them properly. The USB 3.0 cable and the PSU cables are getting in the way — they hit the fans when I try to mount them on the right side.
Still missing a few parts, but it’s coming together! I'm still deciding which GPU to buy — I've been considering between an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, RX 9600 XT 16GB, or an RTX 5070. And so far, I’ve spent R$6,479 (Brazilian reais).
Drop your specs — what are you gaming on right now?
I also built a gaming PC for myself back in July, because my old computer which I got back in 2020 was starting to underperform when I play games. I decided to spend a bit more on a quality rig so I can game smoothly in 4K and want it to last me a while. I also bought a Samsung Odyssey 32" 4K 240Hz OLED monitor to replace my old 27" Asus 2K monitor. I mounted the monitor to the wall to save desk space.
Here are the specs for the computer:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPU Cooler: Be Quiet Silent Loop 3 420mm CPU AIO Liquid Cooler Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X870E-E Gaming WiFi GPU: PowerColor Red Devil AMD Radeon RX9070XT 16GB GDDR6 RAM: Corsair Dominator Titanium 96GB (2x48GB) DDR5 6000MHz System drive: Samsung 9100 Pro Series 2TB PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe 2.0 SSD Storage drive: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 4TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe 2.0 SSD PSU: MSI MEG Ai1300P PCIe5.0 1300W Case: Fractal Design North XL Charcoal Black Tempered Glass
I also got myself several more Be Quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 fans to keep the computer cool.
This is a pic of my new computer.
