“No” is a complete sentence.
What makes you say nope without a second thought, though? What are some lines that you think people should not cross unless they want you to bite?

I stopped drinking about 15 years ago. In some cultures it might be considered rude if you don't have a drink with them. I make it clear, but they can push it sometimes.
I make this a solid boundary that I don't cross anymore. Some others like intermittent fasting and my exercise routine get broken sometimes. I'm OK with that. Life happens.

I have friends who don’t drink at all, so I have coffee dates with them. I respect the boundary they set for themselves.
Did something life-changing happen such that you don’t touch alcohol anymore, like @grayruby?

Kinda... Around that time I got into vipassana meditation. I also became a vegetarian which lasted about a decade. I don't really practice anymore but I'd like to if I had more time.
Giving up alcohol was possible only when I put time for more important things as a priority. Also, once I start drinking I find it hard to stop. Then I'm out all night and hung over the next day. It just isn't worth the wasted time even though it can be fun.

Congratulations I think totally the same, I also had my bad experiences with alcohol in the past, more than 10 years ago I do not access a drunkenness and I hope to continue accumulating time without doing so.
Here in Latin America you can say that 90% of people 👥 drink alcohol. And regardless of the occasion (there is no lack of occasions) but ever and drink a drink, a drink or some beers, no matter how much they insist that I must share with them.
I even moved away from many acquaintances, whose surroundings and frequent activities consist only of drinking alcohol, partying or simply drinking alcohol for any excuse, a bad day, a good day, national holidays, Christmas, birthday, etc.

But what about your close friends who like to drink?

I did start to find it boring when hanging out with drunks. They would often take a long time to say something and repeat themselves often. I had to get some new friends!

Any kind of opinion on poorly explained facts. I don't talk about something I don't know. I don't talk, say I don't know, or seek to learn before expressing my position. And that's liberating for me.

Is this how your nym came about?
Only when we remain humble can we be vessels for new knowledge to descend!

This nym comes from Libertas Aeterna, a feeling that I must always seek freedom and the threats to it.
Only when we remain humble can we be vessels for new knowledge to descend!
Humility always. I really liked that quote of yours..
