I've been diagnosed with chronic insomnia since I was very young, I took zolpidem /ambien for more than 10 years every night straight, now it's out of stock for a couple of months everywhere where I live and my doctor put me on Remeron (mirtazapine) and although it puts me to sleep I hate that it makes me feel during the whole day that my brain is so slow.
I feel after being all those years on medications, I don't even know how to fall asleep without them anymore, so I'd like to ask the community what do you do? Do you think about something? Count sheeps?
I like to stop taking those but it's not easy, during my pregnancy which zolpidem wasn't recommended, after having many sleepless nights and high blood pressure from the withdrawal my doctor just let me take it while doing many check-ups...
Looking forward everyone's answers :)
