DEATH TO SUBWAY!

I am a big fan of jersey mikes but I never heard of Krispy Krunchy Chicken. Must be a new thing.

Even with all its recent struggles Starbucks coffee keeps expanding. I haven’t had Starbucks in months due to purchasing a Keurig

Might be a basicbitch thing to say and I resisted for a long time to admit it but it hit me recently that I just fucking love Starbucks around here.

Not the best coffee by a mile, but a guaranteed minimum quality with good, polite, professional service. Only other place I've had friendly staff like that is crossing the border to go to Chick-Fil-A.

Then again when the competition is Tim Hortons etc. maybe that's more of a comment on how crap the other big chains have become from quality to service.

Basic bitch hahaha

I'm not even gonna try beating the allegations: I fucking love pumpkin spice latte

reply

No i hear you. Their app is really good, and they provide a nice place to sit down and work / use internet /hang out.

But yeah, their coffee is pretty mid

Subway definitely took a hit with Jared and with people realizing a bunch of bread and processed meat isn't as healthy as they purported. I think also inflation has really hurt them. A $5 footlong was a great deal but their subs are so expensive now.

reply

Their subs are criminally expensive. Almost $9 to get a 6 inch here in LA. While there are local joints that give you a gourmet quality burger for the same price.

reply

Yes that's my experience.

reply

Indeed! I haven’t stepped into a subway for at least 15 years

How many of these accept and hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets?

reply

My guess is zero

I'm impressed that Starbucks is still growing that much.

reply

What is Krispy Krunchy Chicken? Did they appear overnight like a fast-food ninja?

reply

Yeah!!

reply

They probably shouldn't use raw counts, but percentage based instead.

I think Krispy Krunchy Chicken is brand new, so for all we know they just went from 0 to 300 stores.

Whereas Starbucks is like one on every corner, so +600 may be a drop in the bucket

reply

It’s the total change so am assuming they are taking into account the stores that closed

reply

I was surprised by SubWay...they really do well in Europe, and it's very popular...I think it works better than Starbucks too...
But the US data (and US market) is completely different...this is very surprising to me!
