The only subject he claims to be an authority in is psychology and he has objective peer reviewed credentials in psychology.

I don't follow every little detail of his life. Most of his lectures I've watched are fine. The general ethos of his books are fine.

Generally speaking he's fine.

I find the cult leader accusation doubious and a bit lazy. You can literally say the same about any public figure.
