Saw a claim floating around that someone has filed a lawsuit against Microsoft for discontinuing Windows 10 support, demanding free continued updates because they refuse to move to Windows 11.
If true, it’s wild and raises an interesting precedent. We’ve all accepted that OS lifecycles end, but what happens when customers push back in court? Could this pressure companies to extend support or offer alternatives, especially when the “upgrade” isn’t universally loved?
Would be curious to see how this plays out, though I haven’t seen official confirmation yet. If anyone has a case number or credible source, please share.
What do you think? Is this a legitimate consumer rights issue or just someone making noise because they don’t like change?
