Couldn't pro football reference just add their agent's name and email address to their page. I don't really get the point of this. IMDB is successful because it is the place to go to find out info about movies and actors. There are already tons of resources to find out info and stats about athletes.

Seems like a very old school concept.
Rodgers pitch meeting: "What if we had this single repository of contact information. We could sell access to the different parties. Ooooo.... We could also have ads and mine data."
