I currently work in AI and thinking about trying to change careers to BTC companies.

Very vague question.
On one hand Bitcoin does not need AI since money can be computed directly and discretely. Just simple floating point maths.
On the other hand everything in computing is moving to machine learning - everything where behaviour can't just simply be exact to implementation. So yes, there will be / are plenty of machine learning tasks in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Like, everywhere, just apply and if you're good you'll find projects for sure.

I know. My main skill set is AI but I really want to support the bitcoin movement, and some initial google searches didn’t work well because it keeps thinking bitcoin == all cryptocurrencies
The thing is, I don’t even know where to apply ha

What type of AI have you been building? We certainly have some models on the roadmap to aid in node management's core aspects, but we have yet to reach that point.

I’ve been more in the autonomous system planning and execution, knowledge representation, RL, and agent self-models side. Currently getting more into neuro-symbolic systems. Planning to brush up on the good ol ‘ML toolkit too

I don't if it consider bitcoin but for sure there are few blockcain powered Ai websites you can PARSIQ for example, it is a must when monitoring and intelligence. It offers analytics tools for blockchain technology across a plethora of industries. A point to note is that PARSIQ’s token contract was rolled out on Ethereum. It allows developers to allocate resources to higher-utility goals within their organization
