In many parts of Africa, sending money is still expensive, local currencies lose value quickly, and millions of people don’t have access to banks. Bitcoin could change that. It allows fast, global payments with very low fees, making it easier for people to move and store value securely.
But there are still big challenges. A lot of people haven’t heard much about Bitcoin, many businesses aren’t ready to accept it, and internet access in rural areas is often unreliable.
If things continue at the same pace, will Bitcoin really become the go-to currency for everyday use in Africa by 2035? And what can we do today to make that future more likely?
