Anthony Richardson looking like the next Trey Lance at this point.
I think the Rams should trade for him. They can get him in house and see if McVay can develop him into their QB of the future and if not they use one of their first round picks next draft on a QB. What do you think @realBitcoinDog?

Richardson will be starting in a few weeks. I expect volatility in the qb depth chart for the colts.
As long as Tyler Warren gets his targets I’m happy. Arguably Danny Dimes will be better for receiving stats

We will see.
Steichen said "he is the starting QB for the season. I don't want to have a short term leash on that."
Of course things could change and he might just be trying to give Jones confidence and reassurance he is the guy but looks like they are rolling with him for now.

If they lose a stretch of 6 games there will be a sense of “fuck it let’s try something different”
reply
I could definitely see that. If they lose a stretch of 6 games Steichen will be gone. I don't think he has much rope as is right now.

Would be shocked if he has the job after this season

AR is a good athlete, but he seems too injury prone to be successful, given how mobile he needs to be to compete.

Trey Lance 2.0
Lance had significant injuries in all three seasons with the 49ers. 8 games seems like hardly enough time to develop and evaluate a guy as raw as him but he was never on the field and when he was he wasn't improving at the things they needed him to improve at to be good in that system so they moved on. He is obviously a way better athlete than Brock but Brock is a more accurate passer and better processor so he became the guy.

Maybe they can turn him into the next Taysom Hill.
