I brought The Bitcoin Standard to dinner last night with my family. Never said a word about it, just put it on a shelf in the room. Somebody noticed it and said "I saw that Bitcoin book you have over there. Crazy times with the big crash happening, 70% down, must be a good time to buy right?"
I never had the chance to say anything because we quickly changed topics. They mostly were talking about the "bad actors" in the space and the exchange collapse before we moved on.
Tell me about your Bitcoin talk (or lack thereof) with family
Not with family but in cafe on xmas eve with gf.
Asked the usual “can I pay with bitcoin” to the waiter
Which was a no, so followed up with “can I pay YOU with bitcoin”
Which turned out to be a yes!
It was his first time so I on boarded with a lightning wallet, and sent the amount + tip to cover the bill

His responses: ‘I’ve made money of XRP, hold some NFTs, Eth going to 50k, bitcoin failed in El Salvador and never bought bitcoin’
My sisters inlaw: ‘U said Xmas 2021 was time to buy!?’
Me: it was (100k hopium) , but now is even better!
