Do you know alternatives to buy a $10 gift card for buying a book in amazon? Or better yet on the book depository? Using lightning btc?

Are you asking what other things you can buy via Lighting that are in the $10 range other than a gift card?
If so, I don't know which of these merchants have items at under $10, but here's a list of merchants who accept bitcoin for payment via Lightning network.

Gift cards work -- and there are vendors such as Bitrefill, The Bitcoin Company, and others which provide this need to buy a gift card with bitcoin on Lightning.
