In 1773 in England, the government used to tax people based on how many windows their house has (the bigger it is the more windows it has). The people had the incentive to reduce tax payments so they tear down their windows replacing them with bricks which lead into all sorts of health problems (much less sunlight & air circulation)
Some of the MPs protested at the parliament by shouting "Daylight Robbery" indicating the government is robbing people of sunlight ...this is how Daylight Robbery came into existence!
And it still continue... taxation is theft in any form or shape. Taxation happen because people are dumb and consent to pay it.

Im quite hesitant if we should have tax or no tax at all
On one hand, there were a few examples where communities did fund certain public willingly but that was a time where communities were small which isnt applicable today.
On the other hand, libertarians argue it can be done WITHOUT tax but we have not had any example in the modern world of such, mainly rhetoric
Anyways, I believe taxes today is mainly a tool to control the masses (govts print money so they dont really need taxes)

Exactly that. So come the question: why people love to be controlled, when they can just say a single word: NO.
reply
Not enough people would say NO as there is a threat of violence (prison/ asset confiscation)

If there's a threat, then is a daylight robbery, right? With Bitcoin, game changes. They can threat me whatever they want, but will never see any sat from me. They want to kill me? Fine, but still will not have any sat from me.
IT IS BITCOIN OR DEATH. IT IS FREEDOM OR DEATH.
Nobody can threaten me, I lost my fear of any gov. When you are fearless you are un-governable, un-controlable. You live in fear? Fine for me, pay the damn taxes. I don't.

I admire your enthusiasm but I'm not talking about you and me.... the vast majority of 8 Billion people dont know of that option (Bitcoin) TODAY and our role is to educate as many people as possible
reply
Yes, education is key. And education start by learning how to be sovereign. Start by learning what really is freedom. Start by learning who really are "the governments". Start by learning about natural law and bitcoin.

I would say taxation is a choice - but only for those fortunate enough to hold a travel document
There are plenty of lands whose ruling thugs choose not to impose taxes on resident humans
Go where you’re treated best, as one successful entrepreneur would say
