What's it like to make your own phone?

I was looking at some guides here on how to do it by resetting the phone from 0 and adding new software...very interesting by the way

Yeah I know about the friendly userness. I’m getting into analog photography so I’m not worried about the camera and the planned obsolescence annoys me.
Perhaps I’ll get a phone just for calls and stick to computers for my posts and bitcoin related work.

Apple just has an easy user friendly aspect to it and usually has a good camera is why I like it.
But like with all these phones with glass bodies and planned obsolescence there all stupid really. Unless you make your own phone and what not that would be the cool option
