Fun fact: First stablecoin was Tether on OMNI layer (Bitcoin), so they are coming full circle.
I know Tether was doing something with Taro on LN? I wonder if this represents a switch for them or are they simply diversifying.

They've funded and has their hands in just about every tokenization layer, there was even an Omni layer for lightning being pitched to wallet devs a few years ago, my impression was the design was dumb and the team couldn't execute, dead now afaik
Seems they're betting on every horse with the agnostic view that at least one will win

Stable Coin Summer was one of our topics for our annual NOTNFTNYC event. One of the discussions was around how the emergence of all these new stables will create T+0 opportunities for businesses, and after fully understanding that, I couldn't be more bullish.
I'll admit I'm not smart enough to know the impact it will have overall, why one stable is better than another, or which stables are most likely to survive.
But what I gathered was more stable coin options = overall good.
