I had to make a phone call today to renew my healthcare coverage. After verifying my name, DOB and SSN, the guy reads back my physical mailing address, phone number, and e-mail. So I assume he has all my data in front of him, including sex. Then he asks if I was pregnant or have been pregnant in the past 6 months. I say "no?" and he asks the next question, which I ask to have repeated because I'm so caught off guard and confused as to why he asked a man if he were pregnant. What is up with that?
