We are excited to share a major step forward in the journey of Consensus21 Peninsula.
The campus will launch as a Global Village Learning (GVL) campus powered by the Consensus21 protocol. This partnership unites the proven educational infrastructure of GVL with the future-focused, open-source protocol for education designed by Consensus21.
We are also proud to confirm Peter Hutton as the official Principal of Consensus21.school Peninsula. Peter is one of Australia’s most respected educational leaders, with more than 30 years of experience transforming schools and pioneering learner agency. As co-founder of GVL, he has a proven record of scaling innovative campuses, turning around failing schools, and building sustainable educational communities. His leadership ensures that Consensus21 Peninsula will combine bold vision with practical delivery from the very beginning.
Why this partnership matters:
Immediate legitimacy and compliance: Operating as a GVL campus allows Consensus21 Peninsula to bypass years of bureaucratic approval and gain full government recognition from day one.
Educational credibility: GVL is trusted across Australia and globally, with systems that provide the compliance, HR, financial, and operational backbone required for sustainable growth.
Innovation DNA: Consensus21 powers the campus with its protocol, including a learner-led governance model, Bitcoin timelock system, and a curriculum embedding financial literacy, AI, entrepreneurship, health, and outdoor resilience.
Sustainability: Government funding secures ongoing operational costs, while parent contributions remain accessible and supported by bursaries. Seed funding is therefore focused solely on land, design, and construction.
In parallel, we have advanced discussions with investors, including a productive meeting with Ego Death Capital, with follow-up steps now in progress.
Consensus21.school Peninsula will serve as the world’s first GVL campus powered by the Consensus21 protocol, a living model that demonstrates how education can be decentralised, financially sustainable, and globally scalable.
