We've known this for decades and it's not even remotely in dispute amongst labor economists.
There are some interesting issues around the margins, but it's been a very long time since a wage gap existed after accounting for job duties, experience, and hours worked.

You should doubt it. I never see nuance in stories that talk about the supposed gap. Woman and men seem to me to being manipulated for political gain.

Its interesting that the social push that all women should be in the labor force began """coincidentally""" at the exact time the US went off the gold standard.
Seems like it was a bit of marketing there...instead of "you now will need to have 2 earners to survive" it was "look at the strong independent women working alongside men!"
