I do not know how to write code, I do not have to know that to understand how Bitcoin works. In 2012 I just read the whitepaper and I knew in that moment that Bitcoin will change the world. So I never stopped learning about.

People who do understand the code too often equate that to understanding Bitcoin... They see it through the lens of a technical thing, which it isn't, and thus shitcoins and all the dumb shit that's turned Core into soft-target for attacks.
I actually think it's impossible to have a maximalist view on Bitcoin from a predominantly technical perspective.
I am an economist by education. But an IT-ist by passion and 25 yrs experience. I saw Bitcoin as an escape valve from the slavery system (banking and political) just after I read the BTC whitepaper. And that is because I read it and understand it from the 1st moment getting in touch with Bitcoin.
