Most Punjabi Sikhs migrated to Canada and US are not the fan of India (it's not about what government is here). There has been a pakistan and Canadian Sikh funded and fueled anti India movement. It went so much ahead that some of them even started demanding a seperate country for Sikhs.

TBH, since my childhood, I've never ever come across an incident or a Sikh living in India and complaining about India. The demand for a seperate country for Sikhs has been done always from the foreign land.
