I'm not usually one for the "Bitcoin is a battery" or "Bitcoin is digital cyberhornet" bullshit, but I did enjoy this piece by Avi Burra about the mythical side of Bitcoin. Money requires humans to give it usefulness and we do that by creating a story around it. We assume these stories are based in reason (digitally native, censorship resistant, fixed supply, permissionless money) but there's probably just as much that is the story (anonymous creator, unbelievable volatility, resisting the state). It's fun to think about Bitcoin this way and perhaps also useful.
