Air-gapped as cold. Main wallet(s), multiple. LN wallets, Sparrow, Ashigaru, etc.
TailOS fixes this, no need for the hardware, a USB does the job. There's also this Cypherstick that include bitcoinCore, and here a tutorial for Tails+Electrum, so you can create your swissknife.

I have been using the common device. But I think using seperate one will definitely help in keeping our wallet secure. Great suggestion!
