Israel warned Hamas leadership that they were no longer safe in Qatar and they followed through with it. Part of me is happy that these literal billionaires are facing some sort of justice. For to long they have stoked tensions and then lived in luxury.
Along with Chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, Khalil al-Hayya, it is believed that almost all of the remaining leadership of Hamas, including Mohammed Darwish, Mousa Abu Marzouk, Husam Badran, and Taher al-Nunu, were all present in the meeting that was targeted earlier in the Qatari capital of Doha.
Did the nytimes scrub nuclear option from their headline or did you inject it into the post title?
reply
I added it because the NYT title sucked 😂 Qatar established unofficial trade ties with Israel all the way back in 1996 and was the second Arabian Peninsula to do so. When you factor in they are the negotiation place and Iran also attacked them just a couple months ago for allowing the West to use their space to help Israel this is a nuclear option for Israel

Did Qatar have advanced warning of the attack? The Arab world will expect Qatar to condemn the Israelis loudly, but what really matters is what the countries are telling each other behind the scenes
That being said, the Israelis are going pretty much hog wild, looks like they've pretty much stopped caring about what the "international community" thinks. Even many, many Jews I know, and some actual Israeli citizens, are upset at the way their government has prosecuted this war.

The US gave them the warning as soon as they got told by Israel but that was after the jets already were airborne and about to strike.
I don't understand why more people didn't understand that essentially without letting the dogs loose so to speak this would be Israeli’s forever war. Now they have changed that from being the case with what they are doing and the extremes they are going to do so. Not saying its wrong or right but when you isolate an area with the help of their neighbor and then go in and clear these area and blow up everything.… well that will end a forever war because the thing is sealed up tight. Esp with Lebanon and Syria’s changes. Iran can't rearm the Hamas proxies.
