Both September 11 (9/11) and the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) were well-known crises of the modern era. One was a horrific act of terror; the other, a failure from within the financial system itself. While 9/11 redefined security, the GFC redefined money, proving that power and trust was misrouted all along–eroding trust in the very structures that claim to protect prosperity.
