My dog and my neighbor's dog, when they hear a siren, they start howling. My neighbor's dog is older than mine, and I think he learned it from her because I used to hear her doing it before I even got him. I hear them howling before I hear the siren. Why the heck do they do that?

I think this is the way dogs communicate with distant dogs. In the country I live in, the call to prayer is recited 5 times a day. An imam calls for prayer loudly. In all mosques.
Hearing the adhan(call to prayer), many dogs start howling.😂
It must be something instinctive.
They howl out of respect.
They're dangerous women. Better keep your distance.
