Maybe we've already seen his ceiling, which isn't bad at all. Averaging 20 or more points 11 seasons in a row is not amazing, but it isn't bad at all. Who else amongst that draft class, besides Giannis, has an offensive stat like that?
How do 8 All-Defense teams, with 4 DPOY's and 4 All NBA selections compare with that?
I realize you said "offensive" stat, but it's not like CJ gets subbed out on defense.

You're probably right. CJ probably goes after Rudy, but no way he's behind Oladipo.

Do you agree with me that Oladipo had a higher peak than CJ?

I think I like to choose according to career instead of ceiling / peak. If I'm a GM drafting a player, I would take someone who can give me multiple seasons with consistent performance over someone who just peak for a season then goes on being hurt the rest of their career.

That's fair. I'm just curious if you think CJ was the better player throughout.

Probably not from pure talent wise. Oladipo is much more athletic and better defensively, while both probably gave similar offensive numbers. It's just that CJ had such a better career and Oladipo was hurt so much that it's hard for me to pick him over CJ while knowing how their careers played out.
