'Living in the present or in the moment' has been hailed as one of the most important way of living a peaceful life. However I doubt if anyone has ever truly lived like that. Past and future are essential inmates to present and you simply can't get rid either of them.
Can you?
As soon as I remind myself of the present I live in, a lot from past and something from the future crops in. It simply feels more like natural than to only think of present. Upon discussing this dillema with one of my intellectual friends, he suggested me of organising my time. When I asked him how, he simply replied me to learn it and avoided 'if he does organise his time?'
Although I've looked upon this on the internet a bit but that seemed like too much to learn. Hoping I can learn from the experience of Stackers, here I'm asking...
Do you live in the present? How do you organise your time?
I use my calendar a lot. I also have a running to do list that I keep as a google doc so I can access it on the go from anywhere. Every morning I check that to do list and Monday morning of every week I plan through the week and decide what to put on that list and get a sense of when I'm going to do each task.
I find that by planning my responsibilities, I can more fully live in the present because I don't have to spend as much time worrying and keeping track of things in my head.

The calendar is a good option, I will add it to one of my ways of organizing myself.

I think about the future mostly. The present usually feels like it's in the way. I try to practice being in the present when I don't need to think about the future though. It's nice in the here and now.
I don't organize my time much. I either do everything I don't really want to do as early in the day/week as possible, then the rest of my time is spent exactly how I feel like spending it. I also try to avoid adding new things that I don't want to do to my life.

168 hours a week. Sleep 8 a night, get exercise and fresh air outside daily. Crush life with focus and purpose. Self reflection and write it down. Rank areas and relentless focus on improving! Go!

From my own experience, it’s not easy to see the value of the present unless we’ve been through some kind of hardship. I once went through a difficult time because I was careless and not paying attention to the present, and it led to something I truly regret. It’s been a long time since then, but that moment taught me how precious the present really is.

I always keep a notebook to write down the things that happen during my day. As for my daily routine, I give myself 10 minutes each day to do nothing at all, just to find stillness and let myself relax.

Honestly, I suffer from the same thing; organizing my time is quite difficult for me. I currently use alarms and have struggled with myself to achieve this but I keep working every day to achieve it. I don't think about the future; I try to live in the present.
