I thought this wasn't real at first. I'm still not very sure it is real, but it seems like it actually exists...
A12-foot golden statue of President Donald Trump holding a Bitcoin was installed outside the U.S. Capitol, coinciding with the Federal Reserve’s upcoming interest rate decision on Wednesday.
The temporary installation, located on 3rd Street from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., was funded by a collective of cryptocurrency investors. Organizers said the piece is intended to provoke debate about the future of digital currency, monetary policy, and the federal government’s role in financial markets.
This is absurd. It looks like something they would have in North Korea to honor the fat little rocket man.

By that logic, this statue is indeed: the fat big rocket man

Seems bad for bitcoin if it’s real?! Long term I’m a firm believer in everything is good for bitcoin but man am I dreading hearing about this in the wild especially if bitcoin gets immediate hate from anti-trump crowds.

The association to Trump is definitely a net negative for bitcoin, especially since those in the Trump camp don't have a bitcoin ethos but are actually just shitcoiners
