I don't have any articles/videos to share, but for left leaning people I'd probably start by asking them why they think real wages have stagnated and inequality has increased. The goal would be to get them to first understand the Cantillon effect and the pernicious effects that fiat money has on social equality
Edit: Also, if they say that inequality is due to corporate greed, I will ask them when have corporations not been greedy? By contrast, we can point to a specific date (1971) in which any safeguard against rampant monetary inflation were lifted
I tried Alex Gladstein and even that didn't work. They can't understand property rights. If they could understand it mathematically, they would want only the government to have it.
Make them understand that fiat is a system to redistribute wealth, it's the biggest redistribution system in human history, and it works against them personally. If they get this, it will make them question the entire left narrative, which is based on redistribution being good, but we can see it's not.
There are the "progressive" bitcoiners who put out videos and stuff, but honestly, the paragraph above should work on anybody with some self interest.
The key is that they understand that sound money is good for them personally, and fiat is bad for them personally, it doesn't matter if they are governed by the "left" or the "right", as both support fiat
Come up with an exaggerated right wing figure and have them agree that your made up figure sounds like a real one they don’t like, then explain why bitcoin helps fight that person or mitigates risk for that figure’s opponents
Ie: “Trump hates leftists and might freeze their bank accounts if they speak out! (Lol but lefty Trudeau did this irl) What if you had non conventional money that he couldn’t touch??”
People can only be convinced of things that they want to be convinced of. For as long as there is a social cost of exploring bitcoin and they are not willing to do so autonomously and independently without the prospect of social validation they will not want to be convinced and therefore definitionally if they are a leftist they cannot be convinced until Bitcoin flips to the other side of their friend/enemy distinction.
That is possible, if Trump hated bitcoin they might start liking it because he is a strong force for determining what side of the friend/enemy distinction any given topic sits.
That can happen. Not long ago mentioning Epstein was a good way of getting tarred with the MAGA brush. But it will take a lot.
