pull down to refresh

On this beautiful Saturday morning, I had a hankering. See, before going to sleep the night previous, husband and I made plans to get ourselves up early enough to beat the brunch crowd to our favorite breakfast spot. Well, we did not succeed. And being people who avoid crowds, and knowing our favorite place has a parking lot entirely too small, we skipped the idea of breakfasting out. But such a desire I had for the Vietnamese iced coffee that this spot serves, I was not put off of my mission to seek the sip I crave. I poked around the maps searching for Vietnamese coffee anywhere that looked like a quick in and out. This is how I discovered what distinguishes Vietnamese coffee from the rest: it calls for sweetened condensed milk. Ah, so sweet and so rich, the coffee and milk pair together luxuriously. My search brought me to consider a place I had been to before. I knew it to be classy, and knew the parking to be simple.
The order:
As I was so stuck on experiencing the iced version of this coffee treat, I chose the French Vietnamese Au Lait. The dragon eye sounded like a fun thing to drink, so I retrieved this one for husband.
Now it may be important note here, what is “Au Lait”? Well,
With the technicals all squared away, I’d like to give my review.
9/10 this is a special drink and meets the expectation of my craving. On ice, the flavors shine. It’s a mix of the nutty and the creamy. It’s a perfect Saturday sipper.
I am a happy coffee-drinker :)
Update: I am still enjoying my coffee even now! And I need you to know that it is so wonderful, perfect ratios, down to the very last sip. As the ice melted, no change in delivery of flavor. That’s crazy!

Oh what a coincidence, I plan to visit a Thai/Vietnamese Coffee Bar later this morning.
Probably gonna get a Matcha Cold Brew (i don't usually like my coffee too sweet)

Mmm what color is a matcha cold brew? Greenish?

It looks like this:
Basically just an unsweetened cold brew with matcha cold foam on top haha
The foam makes the drink slightly sweet

Oh okay wow looks awesome
I’ve been getting into the season a little with pumpkin cold foam

One of the few positive outcomes of French imperialism.
The only Bitcoin accepting restaurant in my city makes excellent iced coffee and Banh Mi so I get the double pleasure of paying with sats.

What a lovely story! I really enjoyed reading about your little adventure to find that perfect Vietnamese iced coffe, I’m a big fan of Colombian coffee: smooth, aromatic, and rich in flavor.
