I count in Bitcoin, so if out of sudden I want to see a price of random shitcoin - I want it in BTC, and not in USD. For many years it was possible on Coinmarketcap - by using checkbox BTC just below price charts. Until recently. Because they have removed this BTC check-box...
So I made the support ticket to change it back - and the answer is:
"Thank you for sharing your screenshot. This is an update and by design. If you could check the upper portion of the chart, you may find the "compare with" tab where the BTC option is available. I hope this is helpful. Thank you! Sincerely, CoinMarketCap"
I only replied them: I don't want to compare anything and then guess what is actually the ratio to BTC.
Is there any similar service not so "progressive" ?
coingecko seems to do what you want.
I get what they're doing though, I mean, you are looking at a shitcoin

Shitcoins were born for increasing your Bitcoin stash, that's the popular point of view. So droping like a few percents of portfolio into some "shiny shitcoin" - is a sin but also a bit of gambling with nice risk to reward ratio ;)

You can still kind of do this by setting the currency to BTC.
It is in the top right of the screen, next to the language setting.
This is a global setting, which I find useful.
Hit the drop down arrow and select btc.

Brilliant! That's nice workaround.
Anyway, that's not very obvious thing like instantly visible check-box. Especially for Average Joe, who will load default USD and stay there probably forever.
Binance is a bad actor - no doubts...

Binance (which owns CoinMarketCap) is a bad actor.
Another example: $10 in tx fees to withdraw bitcoin, and minimum wthdrawal amount is equivalent (today) to $20.
