How do you do that? What is 'your server'? Is it a search engine? Or you mean a Windows OS website server as DDG suggests? I do not understand what you mean.

Thanks for that but it looks like a lot of work compared to Duckduckgo which I am told does not track me.

Just use a public server that runs searxng for you then, muc better than ddg that tracks you. Try one of those: https://searx.space/

Thanks again yes Im trying one of those https://searx.perennialte.ch It does seem to work ok I will try it for a while to compare with DDG. But I thought DDG did not track users?

DDG is still too centrlized and has all the incetives to tracka nd sell users data: https://www.entrepreneur.com/business-news/does-duckduckgo-track-you/428448

With searxng you can have your own or trust one of the thousands around.
